Overview & Job Purpose:

Red Wing Aeroplane Company is an eligible on demand §135 charter operator with over 25 years history operating Citation 500 series jet aircraft (specifically CE-560 Ultra and V).  As Red Wing expands, it is looking for additional training staff to support flight operations as well as play a significant role in expanding the training department.  With new buildings and plans for a future Level-D simulator in-house, this position will support the Director of Training in creating and managing the expansion process.   While the simulator project continues at headquarters, this position will temporarily teach at simulator operations in Carlsbad, California until the simulator at HQ is complete.  When not engaged with ground/simulator instruction, duties will include content creation, process improvement and curriculum development.


Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching ground/flight courses in conjunction with Red Wing Aeroplane’s Training Program
  • Conducting simulator training (travel may be required due to simulator location the first year of employment)
  • Maintenance of all training documentation & paperwork in accordance with FAA requirements
  • Help in creating content for ground training and future online training
  • Being knowledgeable of applicable part 61, 91, 135 regulations, company operation manuals, training manuals and aircraft operating manuals
  • Other duties & projects as assigned by the Director of Training

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


  • Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot Certificate
  • Comfortable with public speaking, presenting, and addressing large groups of people
  • Comfortable leading & instructing company employees, industry professionals, and regulatory/government agencies
  • 1-3 Years Experience in a Part 121 or 135 Environment
  • 3-5 Years Experience in the Aviation Industry, 3 of which as a required flight crewmember
  • Must have strong computer skills in Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Must be a self-starter with strong organizational & communication skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree from 4-year Accredited University in an Aviation Field
  • ATP Certificate
  • Experience with an LMS (we use iSpring Learn)
  • Experience in training development & conducting of training
  • Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI, CFII, and/or MEI)
  • CE-500 Type Rating

Work Environment:

  • This is a non-flying position based at RWAC’s Headquarters in Bay City, WI (KRGK)
  • Position is Monday-Friday (8am-5pm) when not teaching ground or flight courses
  • Position Reports to the Director of Training
  • Expected Travel: 20% the first year, then minimal (0-5%)
  • Due to scheduling of training courses, position may be required to work outside normal schedule including weekends and holidays (extra benefits if required to work a holiday)
  • Applicants not PIC typed in the CE-500 may be required to sign a training contract
